![]() The shallow waters surrounding the park offer excellent kayaking, canoeing, swimming and snorkeling. The campsites face the Atlantic ocean and have white sand grounds. This park spreads out over 60 full facility campsites with picnic areas and two nature trails to hike, the Golden Orb, which covers a 1.1 mile distance and the Layton Trail, which takes you to the water’s edge on the bay side. The entire facility was destroyed during the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 and never reopened. In the early 20th century, the fishing camp was a popular luxury destination along Flagler’s railroad for the rich and famous, as well as many of the world’s great salt water anglers of the time. Located in the middle keys at mile-marker 67.5, Long key was once the site of Henry Flagler’s Fishing Camp. The sites are easy to navigate and offer 30 or 50 amp hookups and free WIFI. There are sites available for tents camping, many RV sites, some right on the water. The grounds include a natural beach area for swimming, kayaking, and pinicking. ![]() There are numerous charter boats within walking distance of the campground offering half day, full day and night dive trips, for both snorkeling and S.C.U.B.A. The marina at Kings has a boat ramp and offers dockage on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. They have protected docks with immediate access to the ocean through the Adams Cut. Kings is located on the Bayside of Key Largo 200 yards from the Cross Keys Waterway, also known as Adams Cut, which connects the bay to the Atlantic Ocean. This campground is located half a mile away from the famous John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. This campground is conveniently located within walking distance of a large shopping center with a grocery store. For RV’s they offer 30 and 50 amp service. RV & tent camping with a boat ramp for launching your boat up to 40 feet long. They also offer equipment rental of masks, snorkels, fins wet suits and more. They offer several types of boat trips: a glass-bottom boat tour, snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing charters. There is a sandy beach area for swimming and sunbathing where you can rent kayaks and paddle boards. ![]() There are 47 full facilities on-site for campers with tents and RVs. 25 miles long, but also covers 178 miles of ocean and the coral reefs.
